The Thermal & Hydraulic/ Technology Engineering (THTE) unit in the Bettis Test Programs department is seeking a highly motivated mechanical engineer to join our team to design, build, and support our thermal and hydraulic tests loops. The successful candidate would work with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, technicians, project managers, and equipment vendors to support existing and deliver innovative T&H testing solutions. The candidate would perform fluid-mechanical system and hardware design, ASME code calculations, piping flow and flexibility analyses, equipment selection and procurement, as well as oversee testing system installation and maintenance in our current T&H testing labs. The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of the team delivering one-of-a-kind testing systems that provide critical data to serve the Naval Reactors program today and for decades to come.
