Veterinary Technical Solutions Specialist

Location: Hybrid - Duluth, GA 30096 or St Joseph, MO 64506 (2 days/wk on site, 3 days first week)

Pay Rate: $25.00/hr
Duration: 12 months
Hours: 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Mon - Fri EST

Job Overview:

This hybrid role requires occasional on-site work, especially during internet outages.

Responsibilities:
  • Respond promptly to product inquiries, complaints, and adverse events, ensuring compliance with US regulations (FDA, USDA, EPA) and BIVI policies.
  • Handle communications from veterinarians, pet owners, sales personnel, and other stakeholders, primarily via phone, but also email and mail.
  • Provide information on product use, adverse events, literature requests, and product or packaging defects.
  • Maintain and update technical expertise through journals and seminars.
  • Document all communications in the BIVI database (PVWorks) according to SOPs and GMP requirements.
  • Escalate issues to Technical Services Veterinarians as needed.
  • Support internal and external sales teams by providing technical support and attending veterinary conferences.
  • Research and report on product-related topics as requested.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, reporting any violations immediately.
  • Uphold BIVI's reputation with high ethical and professional standards.
Skills:
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to balance regulatory compliance and business needs.
  • Solid understanding of veterinary practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving, and technical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and database management.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage conflict, and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Experience in the Animal Health industry or related regulatory experience is a plus.
Competencies:
  • Developing knowledge in pharmaceutical life cycle, regulatory requirements, conflict management, and market knowledge.
  • Proficiency in teamwork, innovation, planning, quality orientation, and problem-solving.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate Degree or higher in Life Sciences or Veterinary Technology.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a veterinary clinic.
