We are looking for an extremely motivated and proactive communications professional who can provide marketing support for promoting the company's services to current and potential customers.

This position will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our company and its services. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate, develop and track marketing communications, which includes developing marketing material for the NACCO companies.

Overall, this position will support our communication and marketing efforts to keep the company looking and sounding professional and current.

Job Description:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with businesses to fully understand services and marketing needs and conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and competitive insights
  • Draft and propose marketing campaign recommendations, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, trade show materials, and other multimedia
  • Collaborate with the communications team to create, edit and coordinate communication/marketing campaign materials and presentations
  • Evaluate success of marketing campaigns using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and tactics
  • Work with external resources to coordinate, collect, and develop marketing content
  • Provide and report website tracking through Google Analytics for SEO strategy planning
  • Generate a regular report of media and social mentions of the company
  • Conduct industry research as needed
  • Proofread and edit various company publications
  • Assist with various communications meetings, including scheduling and planning
  • Collaborate with employees across the company to manage various marketing functions and to provide graphic design/writing/marketing support
  • Act as a communications/marketing consultant to a variety of internal groups by providing comprehensive customer service and ensuring consistency with company communication and marketing plans

Education, Training, and Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Writing and graphic design experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Associated Press (AP) style
  • Experience with WordPress, Teams and/or SharePoint a plus
  • Social media content generation experience preferred
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or Communications
  • Three to five years of experience; preferably in Communications or Marketing
