Position Summary

ASC has over 50 years in business as a leader in the material handling and rigging industry and is looking to add a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to the team. ASC provides rigging products and services to companies across the nation and is headquartered in East Hazel Crest, IL. The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will perform all responsibilities necessary to oversee all shipping and receiving processes. They are responsible for ensuring products, materials, and supplies quickly and accurately flow in and out of the facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

•Manage UPS shipments and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies.

•Tracks, traces, and updates the status of incoming and outgoing UPS Shipments.

•Promptly unloads trucks and deliveries and sorts and stocks receivables.

•Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

•Package, label, post weights, and shipping charges to determine methods of UPS shipments for outbound merchandise or materials.

•Identify the best cost-effective procedure of transportation.

•Maintains a clean and neat work environment.

Requirements

Education & Qualifications

•High school diploma or GED preferred.

•Forklift experience preferred.

•Ability to lift heavy objects.

•Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.

•Ability to work from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

•Basic computer skills
