Installs fixed radio, BDA/DAS and wireless communications equipment consistent with manufacturer and company guidelines.
Troubleshoots customer concerns and resolve issues with their communications system in the field and in the shop.
3rd tier support of Telco communications Pulling cables Installs, repairs, and maintains equipment as indicated by results of testing and coordinate repairs with customers/vendors to ensure resolution of problem.
Maintains operation of complex radio systems and 911 communications centers.
Install tower rooms and work on cell phone boosters. Smart work - Routers, switches, subnetting and T1 lines Completes installation of radio and wireless mobile and base communications systems. Skills and Abilities: Requires thorough knowledge of wireless communications systems, electronic and RF principles, and NetSuite operations.
Must have the ability to work in complex radio systems with minimal supervision.
Must have the ability to troubleshoot problems with communications systems and use optimizations and basic system design skills.
Ability to repair and maintain operation of complex radio systems and 911 communications centers. Thorough knowledge of infrastructure components including repeaters, mobiles, portables, and miscellaneous signaling equipment. Knowledge of industry-standard test equipment. Basic Qualifications: Over 2 years of experience in 2-way radio and wireless communication systems theory. Ability to use computer and program, troubleshoot, perform diagnostics, and repair complex communication systems.
Experience in diagnostics, repair, maintenance, program wireless communication equipment such as 2-way radios, transmitters, receivers, antennas for customers.
LMR experience The ability to travel site to site and overnight. Have a valid driver's license (Vehicle may be provided for this role) Preferred Qualifications: Motorola, Moto turbo or P25 experience
Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational school in electronics and wireless system repair is preferred but not required.
Licenses, Certifications: An industry license (FCC, FICA or NARTE). A valid driver license and insurability in the state of employment. CET or NABER certification.
