Description:We are Lockheed Martin

You will be the Systems Engineer for the Mission Systems (MS) Test Planning and Execution (TP&E) Team. Our team is responsible for the I&T of Aviation MS capabilities. This System Test team primarily operates in a MS context, however this particular position will have heavy overlap with Vehicle Systems (VS) and VS+MS software I&T.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Systems Engineer you will be responsible for system level testing of some very exciting Aviation MS efforts, spanning an extremely diverse array of capabilities and contexts. While this team regularly operates in both hardware (HW) and SW I&T activities, a greater percentage of the candidate's time would be devoted to evaluating software capabilities (running both within the DevSecOps pipeline and on target simulation HW). This includes both mission-related capabilities and core infrastructure capabilities.

You will spend a majority of your time embedded with a multi-disciplinary Agile Capability Thread Team (CTT) and those responsibilities will include:
Design, development, integration, test, and maintenance of pilot-vehicle interface (PVI) software
The remainder of your time will be spent working broader tasks supporting program-wide testing:
Executing I&T activities in a lab environment
Evaluating integrated SW functionality and documenting results
Assisting SW Developers and Subsystem SMEs with diagnosis/troubleshooting
Supporting the constant adherence to a Digital Thread.

You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
