Principles Duties and Responsibilities:
* Via Hospital Information System (Epic) worker's compensation and medical records work queues retrieves, prints, saves to file, distributes and mails as necessary all required medical record information in support of Patient Financial Services (PFS) Department including but not limited to claims, appeals, denials, insurance follow-up, explanation of benefits (EOB's), self-pay collection agencies etc.
* Scans and indexes all required documents to Hospital document imaging system (OnBase), including but not limited to bank lockbox, insurance/patient related correspondence (Part A & B), refund checks, legal letters/documents and payment/Part B transfers etc.
* Pick-up, sort and distribute external and inter-departmental Patient Financial Services (PFS) mail daily/weekly.
* Prepares and prints mailing labels. Processes and places postage on outbound departmental mail.
* Runs daily Epic report to generate and mail associated/designated hospital outpatient & GBMC Health Partners "No Surprises Act" letters / estimates.
* Maintains appropriate supplies and troubleshoots/facilitates office equipment maintenance i.e., medical records printer, postage metering, etc.
* Assists in orienting/training other Patient Financial Services or new employees to job functions/responsibilities
* Performs other miscellaneous billing office support duties as assigned

Pay Range
$16.28 - $21.57Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
