About the Opportunity:

This hybrid role requires 2 days in the office (Malvern, PA OR Reston, VA)

Reporting to the Director of Corporate Strategy, the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy will be responsible for leading key strategy initiatives and other projects that help drive growth for Ellucian and define the companys long-term strategy. Example activities could include prioritizing Ellucians product investments, identifying new areas of expansion and related market entry strategies in those areas, competitive positioning and strategies, and prioritizing international market opportunities. The role will be highly cross-functional, and require collaboration with senior leaders, including Sales, Customer Experience, Marketing, Product, Legal and Finance.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and leader who has demonstrated results through using market analysis to drive strategic initiatives, organizational change and revenue growth, and is also a superior and confident communicator.

Where you will make an impact

  • Lead strategic initiatives that directly drive revenue expansion and company growth
  • Conduct analyses including market sizing, sales coverage, competitive research, stakeholder interviews and organizational structures to develop market positioning strategy
  • Provide analysis to support the prioritization of growth initiatives, including new products, potential acquisitions, entry into new geographies, and expansion of existing offerings
  • Lead cross-functional working teams to drive success of key strategic initiatives
  • Lead go-to-market efforts to bring new products to market, collaborating with Product, Services, Marketing, Revenue and Partnership organizations
  • Create materials for board presentations and other internal and external presentations
  • Assist the Director of Corporate Strategy on special projects.
  • Attend industry conferences and events as needed

What you will bring

  • 5+ years of experience working strategy roles, either in corporate strategy roles or for professional services company; ideal candidate will have experience at a consulting firm or SaaS company and a company within the education sector
  • Deep education sector knowledge, including significant experience leading strategy work within the education sector and strong knowledge of the higher ed technology landscape
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated experience leading quantitative analyses in business context
  • Clear experience with various research methodologies, including interviews, survey work and data analytics
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple business operations, including globally
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills and executive presence, including experience interfacing with senior executives internally and externally
  • Self-starter who is comfortable working in a hybrid setting
