Senior Medication Care Specialist Job Overview

About the Role
  • As a Senior Medication Care Specialist, you will be responsible for administering medications to our residents in a safe and organized manner.
  • You will review and document medication logs, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • You will work closely with our healthcare team to develop individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
Responsibilities
  1. Medication Administration: Administer medications to residents in accordance with their care plans and regulatory guidelines.
  2. Medication Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication administration, including dosages, times, and any issues or concerns.
  3. Collaboration with Healthcare Team: Work with our healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  4. Risk Management: Identify and report any potential risks or hazards related to medication administration, and take steps to mitigate them.
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or equivalent licensure.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in geriatric care or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of medication management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
