OIN THE SHOW:Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is currently seeking a dedicated Convention Services Manager to serve as the primary contact for smaller convention groups.

In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring rooming lists, managing transportation logistics, coordinating meeting room arrangements, and liaising with billing and credit departments.

The overarching goal is to meticulously craft an outstanding experience for our convention attendees, ensuring seamless coordination and exceeding their expectations. Join us in delivering excellence in service.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Report directly to the Director of Convention Services in support of multiple meetings and events in the Mandalay Bay Convention Center
  • Manage multiple accounts and business partner relationships to coordinate support of events throughout the property
  • Work independently and unsupervised to ensure all program requirements and client requests are facilitated to standards
  • Work directly with clients and internal departments coordinating the following functions including but not limited to;transportation, guest rooms, meetings, pre-planning, limos, amenities, site inspections, credit, Banquet Event Orders (BEO's) & diagrams
  • Assume the role of the main point of communication between the client and all departments within the property both inpre-planning and on-site
  • Develop a strong working relationship with all support departments to ensure a successful event for the customers
  • Accountable for the overall success of multiple conventions at the same time

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor'sDegreeHotelAdministrationor4 yearsequivalentcombination of education, training, and work experience in Hospitality Special Events, Convention Services or Executive meeting experience
  • One(1)yearofexperienceinahotelorconventionservicesdepartment
  • Ability to workvariedshifts,including weekendsandholidays
