PediatricHospital Medicine proposes a continuation and expansion of the in-hospitalfaculty presence to provide more direct clinical care, enhanced clinicaleducation to medical students, residents and ancillary staff and enhancedpatient safety with improved supervision of emergency situations (RapidResponse Team activations, Sepsis alerts and huddles.Position Responsibilities: 1. Teaching: Physician will provide teaching and mentorship tomedical students, residents and fellows when applicable. Physician will provideeducation to ancillary staff as needed.2. Service: Physician will serve on hospital or departmental (CHoRor VCUH) committees when appropriate, and engage in professional activitiesthrough journal review, conference presentations and national organizationcommittee work.3. Clinical: Physician will provide clinical service as a PediatricHospitalist for the Department of Pediatrics of CHoR based at CHoR. Will work therequisite number of evenings, nights, weekends and take call as designated bythe Chief of the Division to be necessary to maintain clinical coverage of thepediatric and newborn units.4.
