Hamilton Mayer International is partnered with one of the leading construction companies in the US. They continuously rank well on the annual ENR listings and has a tremendous reputation in the industry for their attention to detail. The organisation is currently seeking a Senior Estimator to be located at their offices in Naples, FL with the intention of progressing into a Senior Preconstruction Manager role in the next 2-3 years.
Responsibilities:
Quantify project components and price estimates accordingly.
Visit project to understand site conditions/restrictions implementing self-perform policies and procedures if needed.
Work with the estimating/project teams utilizing HCSS/or other estimating software to build the project estimate in accordance with company objectives.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers about prospective work in order to get detailed project cost forecasts which has be shared with senior leadership.
Provide preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing Primavera P6 or Primavera Contractor software or similar.
Work with team to close the estimate and provide best cost base to clients.
Prepare and/or coordinate the preparation of full cost estimates on conceptual, design-build or general tender work.
Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimates.
Carry out job duties while maintaining the inner core values of the business.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5-8 years estimating experience, including change orders negotiation, field cost tracking, schedules, project cost to complete reporting.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management would be ideal but not essential.
Minimum 5-8yrs working in a general contracting environment responsible for bidding on large commercial projects across Healthcare, High-Rise, Higher Education, Federal and Mission Critical.
Strong prioritization and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well within a team.
