Job Title: AR/Collections Specialist
Job Description
As an AR/Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the reconciliation of assigned customer accounts with open balances and the collection of invoices. Your role includes submitting adjustments to correct billing errors, communicating with customers to collect outstanding balances, and reporting on reconciliation and collection status for assigned accounts. You will actively develop relationships with customers to facilitate the collections process and prepare lien releases. Additionally, you will assist in resolving any issues related to field operations, dispatch, billing, and management that affect the collections process. Duties also include processing credits and adjustments for invoicing errors and answering customer inquiries or collaborating with an assigned analyst to resolve issues. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics or related field highly preferred
+ 3 + years of AR/Collections experience
+ Construction or Engineering industry experience
+ Detailed knowledge of invoicing, and writing up various billing adjustments.
+ Proficient in Excel
+ Strong problem solving and communication
