Our leading IT & Services client, provider of election technology, enabling election officials to conduct elections with confidence, is hiring a Project lead. As the Neighbor Island Project Lead, you will plan and direct island project activities to ensure that they are completed efficiently and on schedule. As a member of the Hawaii Project Team, the Neighbor Island Project Lead works with other team members and external State and County Program Managers to manage delivery of the full scope of the Voting System implementation and support services in the assigned County. Job Duties:
(Under Direction of the Program Manager)
•Acquires a functional knowledge of company software applications required to maintain HVS equipment.
•Represents the company in a professional and courteous manner at warehouse/office, and at public events.
•Receive and inventory voting equipment and supplies.
•Prepare eSlate and eScan equipment for each election event.
•Prepares and maintains batteries and other equipment used in elections.
•Maintains warehouse to ensure that it is clean and orderly.
•Assists with testing and preparation of voting equipment.
•Assists in set up of vote counting center.
•Assists with operation and troubleshooting of vote counting equipment on Election Day.
•Assists in coordination of delivery of election equipment to polling places.
•Works with county election staff to ensure all printed material for use at the polls is up-to-date.
•May assist in training of poll workers to use election equipment.
•Other duties as assigned.
*To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
Requirements:
•10 years of experience managing projects, processes and tools.
•Strong customer orientation.
•Detail oriented.
•Strong customer presentation skills to interface with all levels of customer including executive level.
•Organized and disciplined.
•Professional appearance and demeanor
•Ability to acquire expert level knowledge of the voting system
•Ability to assemble and perform minor configuration of technical office equipment (computers, printers, scanners, etc.)
•Ability to work independently in a high-stress environment.
•Must be able to lift 40lb cartons
Education/Experience:
•Experience using and troubleshooting issues with computers and technological tools.
•Experience reading and interpreting training curricula, technical procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
•Elections administration experience.
•Experience with coordinating warehouse operations
•Experience working with subcontractors.
•Experience with recruiting and managing personnel.
•Customer service and customer relationship experience.
Physical Demands:
The position can be classified as moderately strenuous and will require normal lifting of voting equipment as part of the daily routine (~40lbs or less) along with some light mechanical assembly work. The ability to sit at a workstation and also stand for extended periods is required. Standard
