**About Your Work Day**

* Set up and tear down of any event

* Have a thorough knowledge of both the event food and beverage service.

* Ability to carry trays, serve guests, oversee and restock buffets.

* Occasionally prepare food, transport items to catered events, set tables, clear/bus tables.

* Have a basic understanding of the Athenaeum Hotel's history and activities and services within Chautauqua Institution

* Able to work flexible hours to accommodate guest and special event needs.

* Strong interpersonal communication skills.

* All other duties as assigned.

**About Your Schedule**

Chautauqua Institution and Chautauqua Hotel Company offer flexible schedules, full and part-time, for seasonal employment during summer operations starting annually each June and concluding in August. Seasonal employment may be available earlier (pre-season) and beyond season (post-season) based on business needs and candidate availability. Schedules typically include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as a requirement.

While you will confirm your final schedule with management at the time of an interview and offer of employment, you should generally anticipate the following schedule options for this position:

* Required flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays required and willingness to flex up or down in scheduled work hours (based on business need).

**About Your Compensation**

Compensation for this position starts at $15.00 and, with demonstrated experience and qualifications, candidates may earn up to $18 Hour.

Chautauqua Institution may provide limited housing options on our grounds or assist you with locating nearby housing arrangements for select opportunities based on business needs.
