About Team: The Project Specialist will report to a Portfolio Manager with a team of 8 - 10 Project Managers. Most project teams will range between 8 - 20 team members. Team supports various portfolios including Data Exchange, Telephony, Mobile/Full Site, and AEM.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in any major.

Required Work Experience: 1 year related work experience. Ability to complete the client's Training Program for Project Management or successful completion of recognized college internship may substitute experience.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates: CAPM certification

Duties:
  • Assists the Project Leader and Project Manager in initiating, establishing, guiding, and controlling projects from inception through completion.
  • Assists project leaders with the organization and support of lesser number to moderate number of work efforts simultaneously, and work efforts consisting of combination of small/moderate size lower/complexity work efforts, and /or minimum/average number of system customer impacts.
  • Develops the abilities expected of a project leader by successfully executing project management processes and meeting project deliverables.
  • 20% Provides support for project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from design to post implementation.
  • Assists in ensuring project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards.
  • 20% Assists project leaders with the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications.
  • Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts.
  • This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports and other documentation.
  • 20% Utilizes available project management tools to monitor and document project status.
  • Responsible for running, pulling, and analysis of daily reports. Prepares agendas for meetings and documents key decisions.
  • 20% Assists with the management of project issues throughout the project life cycle. Assists in communicating the implications of changes to the project scope with appropriate parties.
  • 20% Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Effective communications (verbal and written) skills. Ability to participate in a team or project environment. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management/resolution skills.
  • Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.

  • Work Environment: Fast paced, dynamic environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer and where one must be flexible to changing priorities.
