Description
Assists the Project Leader and Project Manager in initiating, establishing, guiding, and controlling projects from inception through completion. Assists project leaders with the organization and support of lesser number to moderate number of work efforts simultaneously, and work efforts consisting of combination of small/moderate size lower/complexity work efforts, and /or minimum/average number of system customer impacts. Develops the abilities expected of a project leader by successfully executing project management processes and meeting project deliverables.
Additional Information:
- Provides support for project plans, risk management plans, and project documentation from design to post implementation. Assists in ensuring project documentation and deliverables are complete, on budget, within scope, and in accordance with standards.
- Assists project leaders with the development, execution, and maintenance of project communications. Facilitates effective communications between all parties involved in the project and/or work efforts. This will include meetings, correspondence, status reports and other documentation.
- Utilizes available project management tools to monitor and document project status. Responsible for running, pulling, and analysis of daily reports. Prepares agendas for meetings and documents key decisions.
Skills/Education
Responsible for ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing project methodology standards in accordance with the ISSM.
- Skills: Required Skills and Abilities: Effective communications (verbal and written) skills. Ability to participate in a team or project environment. Demonstrated problem solving and conflict management/resolution skills. Good analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to understand project management principles and methodologies, information systems, business processes, and the key drivers and measures of success for the business unit and the organization. Ability to conduct research into project related information. Ability to prepare formal presentations. Ability to assist in all phases of work effort from inception to completion.
