The successful candidate will be responsible for testing pre-production versions of Power BI reports and dashboards to identify bugs, ensure that business and technical requirements are met, and sign-off on deliverables for production. This role is crucial for ensuring the delivery of high-quality analytical products, fostering better user engagement and trust. The Details: In this role, you will be responsible for: Developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases for Power BI reports and dashboards Utilizing SQL and other data validation tools to verify data accuracy and integrity within Power BI solutions Collaborating with Power BI developers and business analysts to communicate defects, missed requirements, and areas for improvement Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming Working closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into test cases Performing root cause analysis of defects and provide recommendations for resolution Documenting test results, tracking defects, and ensuring timely resolution of issues Participating in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog grooming Continuously improving testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness Testing iteratively after iterative development efforts to respond to user feedback throughout development cycle What we are looking for: A successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of a combination of these values, knowledge, and experience: Values : Self-Motivated : Proactively jumps in to start a task or project with limited direction; asks to take on more responsibility and what is next Communication: The ability to speak, write, and listen clearly and consistently Relationship Building and Maintenance: The ability to create and nourish healthy, strong relationships, as the face of Sound Teamwork: Demonstrates the ability to pull people together into highly effective teams along with ability to work in a highly matrixed organization Critical Thinking: Demonstrates the ability to be proactive, anticipate needs; ability to make good decisions with incomplete, ambiguous information Resourceful: Demonstrates proactive willingness to utilize available information and tools to figure things out Customer-focused: Puts the customer's (internal and external) needs first and makes customers their top priority Intellectually Curious: Demonstrates a genuine interest in learning new things and wants to know the reason "why" behind the way things are done Strategic Thinker : Demonstrates the ability to look at the big picture and proactively develop a plan of action Collaborative: Demonstrates the ability to work well with others to accomplish a goal and get the work done; takes opinions of others into consideration; includes others in the decision-making process Adaptable: Demonstrates flexibility and a willingness to change as circumstances evolve Knowledge : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field Proficiency in SQL for data validation and manipulation Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modeling principles Familiarity with agile methodologies and tools Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders Self-motivated work style with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance testing, with a focus on business intelligence and data visualization Experience with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI Sound Physicians is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion at the bedside and in our workforce.
