Asset Management Specialist

Kaimetrix is seeking an Asset Management Specialist to join our team based in Florence, KY for our customer, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This pivotal role is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing an automated system for asset management of CI IT assets, including logistics, inventory control, and compliance. The successful candidate will ensure that asset management processes are efficient, secure, and aligned with organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement an automated, self-service system for hardware asset management, incorporating user self-request, approval processes, and robust inventory management.
- Prepare hardware for shipment, ensuring compliance with security standards and zero vulnerability.
- Manage the warehouse operations for CI IT assets, maintaining accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Update and maintain Asset Management/Inventory tracking systems to accurately reflect assets shipped and received.
- Create and manage an inventory dashboard to support order forecasting and enhance capabilities for managing hardware and peripheral assets.
- Ensure continuous improvement of asset management processes by working closely with IT and logistics teams.
- Establish a system that enhances the efficiency and security of hardware asset management. T
- Maintain a high standards of operational effectiveness and compliance throughout the asset lifecycle, from procurement to disposal.
- 2 years of related experience
- Proven track record in asset management, particularly in an IT-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management systems.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of overseeing complex asset management initiatives.
- High level of proficiency in managing inventory databases and implementing self-service systems.
- Effective communication skills, able to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on compliance and security in asset management.
- Physical capability to work within a warehouse setting, including lifting and moving inventory as needed.
- Associate's Degree
- Drug testing will be required as a condition of employment.
