As we continue to innovate and grow, we are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our team as the first technical hire in the Boston office. This is a unique opportunity to take on a leadership role, shape the future of our technical team, and work closely with stakeholders to drive critical projects. Role Overview : As the Staff Engineer, you will be a key player in our U.S. expansion, taking ownership of the entire software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to designing and implementing solutions. You will lead technical initiatives, mentor future team members, and collaborate with both U.S. and global teams. This role requires expertise in backend, frontend, infrastructure, and DevOps practices, with a focus on hands-on technical leadership. Key Responsibilities : Lead end-to-end development of software solutions, including requirements gathering, architecture design, development, testing, and deployment. Own the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) from start to finish, ensuring high-quality solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Design and implement backend and frontend systems, ensuring they meet business and functional requirements. Take a leadership role in infrastructure setup and DevOps practices, ensuring efficient deployment pipelines and system reliability. Mentor and guide other engineers as the team grows, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration. Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with leadership to define technical strategy, contribute to hiring decisions, and drive the growth of the engineering team. Qualifications : Minimum 8 years of experience in software engineering, with a deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle. Proven experience in designing, building, and maintaining backend and frontend systems. Strong experience in DevOps practices and infrastructure setup. Prior experience with Node.js, Vue.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis is a strong plus. Strong leadership skills and the ability to take technical ownership of projects and systems. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience in a technical lead role, mentoring other engineers and driving technical decisions. Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for continuous learning and improvement. #J-18808-Ljbffr
