Join us.The RoleGuest House Coordinators provide front-line service and support to guests who are staying at the 76-room OHSU Rood Family Pavilion while receiving care at OHSU. Our Coordinators work on a team to provide unparalleled compassionate hospitality in our community-supported "home away from home" - checking in and checking out families, working alongside community volunteers, and helping to provide meals and enrichment programs for families with seriously ill children. Other Responsibilities Provide as needed room reservation support to the Family Placement Team.Participate in rotating on-call duties. Maintain security and emergency protocols for staff/volunteers/guests. Assist with other duties as assigned. Work Environment: Most work is conducted in an office environment. Attendance at events may be indoors or outdoors, possibly in hot or wet weather. In conjunction with certain events, employee may be required to lift packages (up to approximately 30 pounds) and stand for long periods of time. RequirementsExperience Required: At least one year of employment experience is required, preferably in a customer service, social service, healthcare, childcare, or hospitality setting. Skills Required: Enthusiastic and outgoing with excellent customer service skills Confidence, sensitivity and diplomacy to interact and collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds including guests, volunteers, hospital personnel, staff, donors Basic computer proficiency, including email, Word and Excel, and database management Ability to work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred Salary Description $20.29/hour
