Client Overview:

Our client is a medical device manufacturing company seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Accounting team on a long-term contract basis.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$30/hr - $34/hr

Position Overview:

As a vital part of their organization, the Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and maintaining the financial health of their accounts receivables portfolio. Your role will involve ensuring prompt payment collection, efficient invoicing, and resolving any discrepancies or disputes with clients.

Responsibilities of the Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Process and manage accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, billing, and payment collection.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all accounts receivable activities, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to resolve any billing issues or disputes and ensure timely payment of outstanding balances.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Service teams to address customer needs and provide excellent service.
  • Monitor and analyze accounts receivable performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports on accounts receivable activities, including aging reports, delinquency rates, and other key metrics.
  • Assist with the setup and maintenance of credit facilities for new and existing customers, ensuring appropriate credit terms are established.
  • Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledgers and general ledger accounts.
  • Support the implementation of new accounts receivable systems, processes, and procedures as needed.
  • Stay current with industry best practices and regulations related to accounts receivable management.
Qualifications for the Accounts Receivable Specialist:
  • Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role, preferably in a life sciences or manufacturing company or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, billing, and payment collection.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Accounts Payable/Receivable) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to monitor and analyze accounts receivable performance metrics.
