**Job Description**

You cultivate an environment that promotes authentic best-in-class employee and customer experiences and are guided by our culture and our mission of adding joy. Your role as a General Manager is one of collaboration, innovation, inspiration, support, and coaching and in doing so, you help to create and sustain a high performing culture focused on delivering sales and profit goals. Goals and Objectives

* Gain alignment with Regional Director on store specific goals and objectives for fiscal year

* Responsible for the financial success of the store, ensure it is well-run, well-merchandised and well-staffed

* Ensure teams drive best-in-class employee engagement and net promoter scores

* Consistently meet and exceed sales plans

* Maximize sales and profitability by soliciting, identifying and delivering on opportunities for growth

* Effectively manage budgets and cost centres, driving positive Store Profitability

* Hold team accountable for operational excellence

* Inspire a visual experience that consistently aligns with the Indigo brand standards

* Ensure leadership and store staff schedules are fully optimized to drive sales and productivity

* Actively engage in community-based marketing and events to grow sales and strengthen community ties

**Qualifications**

WHO YOU ARE

* 5+ years of management or leadership experience with demonstrable skills and success in leading and developing others

* 5+ years of experience in specialty retail and/or multi-unit retail business environments

* Experience leading leaders

* Proven track record of achieving sales and performance targets

* Ability to be mobile on the sales floor for extended periods of time

* Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays

* Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques
