Successful employees embrace and model these values in their behaviors and actions.Job DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEWThe Marketing Director is responsible for strategic marketing and product line management for the silicas, silicates and zeolites product portfolio. A key member of the management team, this position leads all marketing efforts and projects to drive profitable growth of the business. Strategic marketing: Identify, develop, plan and execute growth in existing and adjacent markets. Develop and support pipelines for strategic development (M&A). Continually assess and understand competitive landscape. Lead and manage new product portfolio. Lead and manage optimization of asset management strategy.Product marketing:Lead and manage product pricing. Work across other functions (sales, tech service, R&D, ops, supply chain, finance) to support existing product line marketing including the Integrated Business Management process Product sku rationalization managementDevelop and drive "Go-to-market" strategy for new and existing productsSupport customer supply agreement managementRESPONSIBILITIES:Implement the commercial strategies for the product portfolio, including product positioning, business plan development and portfolio optimizationManage product pricing and pricing process to maximize margins, i.e. pricing strategy, cost analysis and budget planningSupport sales and business development managers with product pricing, communication of value proposition, market intelligence, customer segmentation, contract negotiations and forecastingWork closely with operations, supply chain and quality to ensure supply reliability and product compliance to specifications and regulations. Implement the marketing strategy to promote products, services and brands to generate new business leads and opportunitiesLead marketing initiatives and analyze target markets potential, trends and unmet needs in support of business growth strategy and investment plansManage marketing campaigns and activities including product promotion and literature, branding, content development, trade shows as well as customer events and innovation seminars in collaboration with R&D, sales and business development managers.QualificationsSPECIFIC SKILLS:Knowledge of the Business, Market, Customers, and Products supported.Flexibility and adaptability to the demands and requirements of a dynamic environment with multiple competing priorities.Highly proficient in CRM, Excel and related tools.Effectively leads in conditions of ambiguity.Strategic thinking and change agent with proven experience in managing business process improvement.Excellent organizational, communication, collaborative and interpersonal skills.Able to identify and analyze opportunities for improving financial drivers throughout supply chain.Strong analytical aptitude with a proven ability to interpret data and build quantitative models to improve business results.Sense of urgency and bias towards action.Disciplined execution focus leveraging a measured approach.Excellent communication skills, including intercultural understanding.EXPERIENCEMinimum fifteen years in marketing, sales or comparable business management experience environment.Preferred experience in chemical or related manufacturing industry.Knowledge of the coating industry, silica, silicate marketing is preferred.Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous corporate initiatives.EDUCATION: Minimum B.S degree from an accredited institution; in business or technical fieldMasters in business administration (MBA) or equivalent preferred.Additional InformationOther RequirementsThis position requires some travel (up to 15%)All prospective employees must pass a background check.EHS ResponsibilitiesCommunicates, promotes and personally demonstrates Safety/Health (including PQP Principles) as #1 priorityParticipation in risk assessment audits as applicableUnderstand PQ Principles (PQP) and how they are implemented in the site organization, rules and proceduresCompletes HSE training requirements identified for the job in a timely mannerPQ is an equal opportunity employer.
