HR Coordinator Temporary Employment Program Job Summary Duration: approximately three months; potential to extend. Includes optional medical benefits, sick leave accrual, and holiday pay. Requires work on site at both UCSF Health Saint Frances Hospital and UCSF Health St. Mary's Hospital. Responsible for HRIS administration in support of the complete Employee Life Cycle, and processing Personnel Action HRIS adjustments for all employees. Examples include new hire entry, terminations, status changes, pay adjustments, step increases, LOA tracking, personal changes, and union dues. Entry is accurate and timely, reflects understanding of the contract issues involved, and requires minimal direction. Consults with employees concerning all benefit issues: such as new hire benefit orientation, LOAs, Benefit arrears/premium collection, PTO/vacation/holiday plans, on-line benefits enrollment, LTD, COBRA. Manages annual Open Enrollment process. Responsible for communicating benefit changes to all employees and obtaining feedback for future plan design. Ability to run standard HRIS reports as needed as well as design ad hoc HRIS reports in support of business needs. Audit EOC (Employer of Choice Dashboard) for data integrity. Proficient in the following HR Technologies: Lawson, Ceridian Time and Attendance, ImageNow Document Scanning, and Lawson Ad-in Upload and Query. Prepares reports and analysis as requested to support HR and other business needs on a per pay period, monthly, and quarterly schedule as well as ad hoc requests. Work is consistent, accurate, and timely and reflects customer needs. Responsible for maintaining compliance and regulatory systems, such as LOA administration, IS terming process, license and certification updates, performance review, safety compliance, benefit eligibility, non-employee tracking, etc. The maintenance of these systems includes tracking and systematic process communication to managers, employees, CHW corporate, and vendors. Communications are accurate, timely, and reflect understanding of the compliance issues addressed. Responsible for continuous learning on all administration-related components of benefits, compensation, and HR technology programs to maintain expertise. Utilizes available resources including SharePoint site and HR colleagues to ensure utilizing systems to fullest potential. Responsible as corporate liaison and for site implementation of new productivity enhancing HR applications. Responsible for backup of HR Assistant duties for continuous coverage of the offices during business hours. Works effectively with HR team and expands knowledge in assigned areas (compensation, benefits, compliance) to maximize support to HR and HR customers. System improvements should result in timely compliance and clear communication concerning all areas of responsibility. Department Description UCSF's Temporary Employment Program (TEP) recruits and hires temporary employees for immediate clerical and technical support services to UCSF Departments and various off-campus locations. UCSF departments deploy temporary employees to work on special projects, fill in for regular employees who are on vacation or leave, or to temporarily fill a vacant position during recruitment. Frequently temporary employees become successful candidates for career and limited appointment positions. Required Qualifications Three to Five years related HR (or comparable) experience in a complex environment, involving data entry and complex HR department administrative support. Benefits, compensation and HRIS administration and HR Technology experience required. Bachelor's Degree required, Business Administration or Human Resources preferred. Preferred Qualifications Healthcare experience preferred.
