Responsibilities:

As a Software Engineer, specializing in Kubernetes, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining our scalable and resilient software systems. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and management of applications utilizing Kubernetes as a container orchestration platform. The candidates expertise in Kubernetes will be critical in enabling our organization to effectively manage and scale the customers cloud-native infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with software development teams to architect, deploy, and maintain applications leveraging Kubernetes.
  • Design and implement scalable Kubernetes clusters to support the development and production environments.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for provisioning, monitoring, and managing Kubernetes deployments.
  • Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues related to container orchestration, networking, and resource management.
  • Work closely with DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration of Kubernetes-based systems into the CI/CD pipeline.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Kubernetes and contribute to enhancing our technology stack.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, including hands-on experience with cluster setup, deployment, and management.
  • In-depth understanding of containerization concepts and experience with Docker.
  • Proficient with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes, Helm, or OpenShift.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Solid programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and related tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in Kubernetes (i.e., Certified Kubernetes Administrator - CKA).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and related technologies (e.g., Kubernetes Service Mesh).

Clearance:

  • Active TOP SECRET clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmentalized Information (SCI)
