The Center for Urban Community Services, a national leader in the development of effective housing and service initiatives for homeless people, invites applications for a Mental Health Clinician position at Kingsbridge Heights directly next to the Kingsbridge 4 train stop. Kingsbridge Heights is a 135 unit supportive housing site for middle-income, low-income and formerly homeless families and individuals located in the in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. CUCS provides comprehensive on-site supportive services for 40 formerly homeless families, and partners with C+C Apartment Management, LLC for property management and rent collection services. The program provides training in evidence based practices including Motivational Interviewing, Wellness Self-Management and Parenting Journey. Services provided include case management, mental health services and person centered service planning utilizing a family systems approach.
Responsibilities:
The Mental Health Clinician carries a caseload of families and provides decision making and service delivery responsibilities including crisis-intervention, medication management and regulatory compliance. Mental Health Clinicians participate and contribute to a program culture that is family-centered and dedicated to continuous quality improvement.
The Mental Health Clinician will receive weekly clinical supervision that meets the requirements for LCSW hours and will have access to all CUCS agency trainings.
Requirements

- Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, public administration, public health, human services, psychology, or related field required
- Relevant pre or post master's or internship experience preferred.
- LMSW, LMHC, preferred.

- 2 years' relevant pre or post Master's experience (excludes internships) required
