Role Summary: The Safe Haven for Children Program is in search of a committed Clinician to provide essential therapeutic services for unaccompanied minors in immigration custody. This role is pivotal in ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of the children we serve.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Complete necessary program documentation and evaluations
- Conduct assessments through home visits to ensure safety and welfare
- Develop individualized behavior and safety strategies
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic counseling
- Facilitate therapeutic group sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation of services while ensuring confidentiality
- Engage in team meetings and professional development trainings
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines
- Oversee Social Work Interns
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline
- Licensed or eligible for licensure
- At least 2 years of post-master's experience working with immigrant youth
- Strong foundation in mental health practices
- Proficient in mental health assessment and treatment methodologies
- Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
- Fluency in both Spanish and English
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
