Position Overview: Clinician for Safe Haven for Children Program

Location: Bronx, NY

Employment Type: Full Time

Compensation: $69,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Role Summary: The Safe Haven for Children Program is in search of a committed Clinician to provide essential therapeutic services for unaccompanied minors in immigration custody. This role is pivotal in ensuring the emotional and psychological well-being of the children we serve.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete necessary program documentation and evaluations
  • Conduct assessments through home visits to ensure safety and welfare
  • Develop individualized behavior and safety strategies
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic counseling
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services while ensuring confidentiality
  • Engage in team meetings and professional development trainings
  • Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines
SUPERVISION:
  • Oversee Social Work Interns
Qualifications:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Master's degree in Social Work or a related discipline
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:
  • At least 2 years of post-master's experience working with immigrant youth
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Strong foundation in mental health practices
  • Proficient in mental health assessment and treatment methodologies
  • Exceptional communication and organizational abilities
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
