Beginning as Interim with potential to transition, this role is responsible for the day-to-day finance and administrative management, compliance, contracts management and oversight of administration and strategic planning. The qualified candidates are required to demonstrate strong managerial, financial, and analytical skills, financial integrity, and strong work ethic. The ideal candidate must be able to work hands-on while maintaining a big picture prospective.

*Responsibilities:*

Manages a team of five (5) financial professionals.

Oversees and directs the organizations accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger management, and bank reconciliations.

* Responsible for producing timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and related reports, as well as other reports, analyses, and projections that may be required for use by the CEO and/or Board of Directors for strategic planning and decision making
* Prepares monthly internal financial statements for program directors
* Complete year-end audit, 990 return preparation, and annual Ma UFR in conjunction with the audit firm.
* Responsible for all Ma and Ct state contracts
* Coordinate the completion of all regulatory filings in a timely fashion
* Develops and oversees the annual budget.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with federal, state audit and tax laws and filing requirements.
* Participates in the annual review and renewal of insurance policies and fringe benefits activities for the agency
* Maintains relationships with banks, state agencies, and external auditors
* Other duties as assigned.

*Skills & Qualifications:*

* CPA and/or Masters Degree preferred
* The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of senior management experience in accounting and/or finance in a non-profit setting
* Familiarity with Department of Developmental Services regulations
* Demonstrated experience with Great Plains accounting software, or similar program.
* Strong computer literacy to include, but not be limited to, the use of MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
* Attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines and multitask.
* Able to convey financial information and concepts into accessible terms for leadership staff, CEO, and Board.
* Ability to interact professionally with Board members, the Executive Leadership Team members, and external parties
