Job DescriptionJob Summary:As a Retail Sales Analyst for The Home Depot suppliers, you will be responsible for analyzing sales data and providing actionable insights to optimize product performance and drive revenue growth. Working closely with the sales and marketing teams, you will play a crucial role in making data-driven decisions to enhance the supplier's presence and profitability within The Home Depot stores.Key Responsibilities:Sales Data Analysis:Gather, clean, and analyze sales data from various sources, including point-of-sale systems, inventory reports, and market trends.Identify sales patterns, trends, and opportunities to uncover potential growth areas and challenges.Performance Reporting:Prepare and present regular sales performance reports to key stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and KPIs.Monitor and evaluate product performance, promotional activities, and overall sales effectiveness.Demand Forecasting:Utilize historical sales data and market trends to create accurate demand forecasts for supplier products.Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels and prevent stockouts.Pricing and Promotion Analysis:Assess the impact of pricing strategies and promotional activities on sales and profit margins.Recommend pricing adjustments and promotional plans to maximize sales and profitability.Market Research:Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior to inform sales strategies.Conduct market research and analyze consumer feedback to provide insights on product improvements.Sales Strategy and Planning:Work with the sales team to develop effective strategies for increasing product visibility and market share within The Home Depot.Assist in the development and execution of sales plans and marketing campaigns.Data Visualization and Reporting:Create clear and concise data visualizations, graphs, and charts to facilitate data-driven decision-making.Translate complex data sets into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Cross-Functional Collaboration:Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and supply chain, to align strategies and achieve shared goals.Support category reviews and business meetings with The Home Depot.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field.Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, preferably in a retail or consumer goods environment.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau).Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to diverse audiences.Knowledge of the home improvement industry and The Home Depot's retail environment is a plus.Experience with big box retailers a must.Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.The Retail Sales Analyst role for The Home Depot suppliers requires a blend of data analysis expertise, retail industry knowledge, and collaboration skills to drive the supplier's success in The Home Depot stores.
