Job Scope

The job scope of a retail sales manager for building supplies is responsible for managing the sales team and ensuring that the store meets its sales targets, Working with Residential Architects, Developers, Builders, and designers.

Responsibilities

  1. Managing the sales team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  2. Developing and implementing sales strategies to increase revenue and profitability.
  3. Setting sales targets and monitoring sales performance to ensure that targets are met.
  4. Collaborating with other departments, such as marketing and purchasing, to ensure that the store has the right products and promotions to meet customer demand.
  5. Managing inventory levels and ensuring that products are in stock and available for customers to purchase.
  6. Providing exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  7. Analyzing sales data and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organized store environment that promotes a positive shopping experience.
  9. Managing budgets and expenses related to sales activities.
  10. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and competitors' activities to ensure that the store remains competitive.

Primary Objective

They must also ensure that the store is well-stocked with merchandise, that displays and merchandising are attractive and effective, and that the store is clean, organized, and welcoming to customers. Additionally, a retail sales manager must maintain good relationships with customers, vendors, and suppliers, and work closely with other departments such as marketing and operations to ensure that the store meets its sales goals and objectives.



Requirements and skills

  1. Education: A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is typically required, while a master's degree may be preferred.
