Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role involves ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and a thorough knowledge of accounting principles to analyze financial reports and forecasts.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports. General Ledger: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Month-End Close: Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. Compliance: Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and company policies. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounting department. Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and educational environment.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Experience: 3- 5 years of accounting experience. Technical Skills: Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data. Attention to Detail: High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
