As a Director of Therapeutic Recreation / Activities, you will be the driving force behind the vibrant and engaging activities in our community. Your work will be instrumental in creating a lively and fulfilling daily life for our residents.

Key Responsibilities for a Director of Therapeutic Recreation / Activities:

  • Develop and implement a diverse range of activities and programs catering to the interests and abilities of residents
  • Provide opportunities for entertainment, exercise, relaxation, and expression while fulfilling basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs
  • Provides assistance to the physically, emotionally, and cognitively impaired individual and family to explore appropriate hobbies and leisure activities

Rate of Pay:
USD $22.00 - USD $25.00 /Hr.

Qualifications of a Director of Therapeutic Recreation / Activities:

  • Degree and certification as a therapeutic recreation specialist, Certified Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant or completion of a training course approved by the Department of Education
  • Proven experience in planning and implementing activities for seniors in a long-term care setting
  • Creative mindset with excellent organizational interpersonal skills
  • Ability to collaborate with team members, residents, and families to create a positive and inclusive environment
