Benefit Analyst - Leave of Absence PRIMARY OBJECTIVE The Benefit Analyst - LOA will coordinate and administer all aspects of employee leaves and worker's compensation to ensure compliance with company policies, federal and state leave and worker's compensation regulations, while providing instruction, guidance and excellent customer service to employees, managers and human resources.Additionally, The Benefit Analyst - LOA will ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, assist in the drafting and distribution of Benefits communications, manage the general Benefits email inbox, and support to Tennant Human Resource Business Partners' ability to respond to employees' benefits related questions. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY Serve as the primary point of contact for and manage all leave inquiries, educating employees and managers on the leave and work comp process and related processes. Participate and manage every significant medical event related to employees' workers compensation injury. Facilitate all company leaves of absence, such as Workers' Compensation, Short-Term Disability, FMLA, personal leave, military leave, etc. including consultation with Human Resources on Return to Work and Accommodations. Works closely with Tennant Legal, Environmental, Health and Safety, Treasury departments and Insurance Carriers to contain work comp costs and reduce lost-time and restricted duty impact for work related injuries while also ensuring compliance with federal and state worker's compensation regulations. Manage all absence data in Payroll/HRIS system to track lost/restricted work time to ensure proper timecard management. Manage the HRBenefits email inbox to ensure all questions are routed and answered within 48 hours. Process Benefits Department Invoices & Billing accurately and on time using SAP report writing and Excel data manipulation skills for self-billed and invoiced vendor accounts. Benefit administration related to new hire enrollment for all health and welfare plans, file maintenance, and coordination with COBRA vendor for all employee terminations. Develop and deliver leave related training for employees, managers and human resources professionals. Shared responsibility for coordinating all employee benefits education, conducting and preparing materials for benefit orientation. Project support as needed for the team related to HRIS, IT, Compensation and Benefits. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a minimum 0-3 years of related field or equivalent experience. SKILLS REQUIRED Strong functional expertise of Leave and Worker's Compensation programs Strong risk assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong interpersonal skills and advocacy orientation. Ability to work independently. Organization skills and detail oriented. Professional writing and oral communication skills.
