Civil Project Manager - Land Development

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Manager to join our team in our Modesto, CA office. As a key member of our Land Development team, you will be responsible for managing land development civil engineering projects efficiently, meeting schedules and budgets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage land development civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Lead and coordinate land development civil teams to produce high-quality plan sets.
  • Collaborate with Owner/Architect and outside team members to execute projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination.
  • Manage internal support teams, including survey, traffic, hydrology, and hydraulics, to ensure technical details, schedules, and budgets are met.
  • Implement and maintain a QA/QC program, ensuring compliance within the project team.
  • Work with City/County staff to obtain approval for project plans.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, allocating resources effectively across different project stages.
  • Administer construction services portions of projects, including RFI response, site meetings with contractors, and other related tasks.
  • Lead and manage up to five assigned technical personnel, including assigning project tasks, reviewing work for accuracy and completeness, training staff, and promoting professional development.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of total experience, with four (4) as a Project Manager (or equivalent).
  • Graduate from an accredited university or college with a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Experience or degrees in other disciplines may be substituted at Management's discretion).
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California (or eligible for licensure in the state of California).

The compensation for this position is competitive and will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. This is a bonus-eligible position, offering further potential for financial recognition based on performance and company success.
