THE JOB:

As a Group Dining & Events Specialist, you will play a crucial role in building strong relationships and securing business with key clients, focusing on conventions and social events. You will set the tone for an exceptional guest experience with your warm and welcoming demeanor. By understanding each client's unique needs and preferences, you will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.

THE STARTING PAY RATE: $26.33

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Managing multiple contract negotiations simultaneously to optimize volume, revenue, and profit
  • Overseeing every detail of group bookings, coordinating with various departments, and serving as the main point of contact for clients
  • Representing the property professionally at site inspections, client events, trade shows, presentations, and offsite functions
  • Proactively seeking new business opportunities by contacting potential clients through phone, email, and other methods to drive volume, revenue, and profit
  • Achieving monthly revenue goals both individually and as part of a team
  • Conducting site tours for prospective clients and organizing pre-event and post-event meetings to ensure client satisfaction
  • Developing competitive F&B minimums and space availability to maximize hotel profitability
  • Creating proposals, menus, and event orders while negotiating business terms to secure contracts
  • Collaborating closely with venue operations and culinary teams to ensure successful event execution
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Two (2) years of Food & Beverage and/or Sales experience in a high-volume resort or similar setting
  • High school diploma, GED or educational equivalent
  • Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
  • Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality
  • Catering or group dining sales experience
  • Working knowledge of Triple Seat
  • Working knowledge of Seven Rooms
  • Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all stakeholders
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
