What you'll do:

Financial Analysis and Reporting:

  • Develop, maintain, and analyze comprehensive financial reports.
  • Monitor program budgets and expenditures, communicating findings and recommendations to program stakeholders.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop accurate budget projections for the annual budgeting process.
  • Monitor the full life cycle of the program's financial planning and management from initial budgeting through closeout.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance, Cost Accounting Standards, contract regulations, and financial best practices.
  • Identify financial risks and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to safeguard organizational assets.
Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand financial needs and provide tailored support.
  • Communicate complex financial information effectively to diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and reporting and improve efficiency through automation and best practices.
  • Assist with testing of financial systems enhancements or upgrades to support evolving business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, preferably in a complex organizational setting such as an FFRCC.
  • Excellent analytical abilities with a deep understanding of financial principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ERP systems preferred.

  • Able to work under pressure and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines.
  • Be a strategic thinker with a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
