The Director of IT will be responsible for implementation of the IT architecture of the company, driving technology initiatives that align with our business goals, and overseeing all other IT functions. The Director will collaborate with the Executive team and all other stakeholders in planning and implementing initiatives while managing the budget. This position reports directly to the CIO.

To succeed in this role, you need to have experience across several IT disciplines with depth in a few, especially development and system and application support. The ideal candidate will have worked in small to mid-size companies where they have had to “get their hands dirty”. The ideal candidate should have a business mindset with an eye to solving business problems efficiently and effectively. The candidate should have the ability to scale up with the company as we grow from $30MM to $75-$100 MM in revenue. Top candidates will be persistent and have excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills with a bias to action (after planning).

In this role, you will… Manage all software/applications used by the company. Specific applications include NetSuite, Magic Touch, Dashboard, Website platforms (external facing and training websites) Collaborate with all stakeholders to size projects, develop solution options, and prioritize projects. Oversee the day-to-day operations of all IT functions. Manage all outside vendor relationships. Manage IT team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Building team as company grows. Ensure the stability, security, and scalability of IT systems to support business operations. Evaluate and recommend new technologies and software applications to improve manufacturing processes and business operations. Maintain documentation of IT systems, processes, and policies. Safeguard and protect confidentiality of company and patient information as defined by the company’s Confidentiality Agreement.

In this role, you will need to have… Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, computer engineering, or relevant field. 10+ years of IT management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in business operations and bridging to technology is required. Experience managing development teams and applications is required. Experience as a developer and as an architect is preferred. Experience with databases, data analytic environments, ERPs highly preferred. Experience working across IT roles a must. Experience working for some time in small to mid-size businesses required. Ability to analyze existing tools/applications/technologies/vendors and provide solution recommendations. Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms. Proven experience implementing IT strategies and managing IT projects. Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in English. Must be able to effectively present material to large and small groups. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with multiple, highly demanding internal stakeholders/customers. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Capable of working under pressure. Ability to learn, adapt and adopt new ideas, technologies, approaches with a practical, prudent mindset is essential.
