Preparation of bank reconciliations and workpapers as necessary. Analyze revenue and expenses for proper revenue recognition and GAAP principles. Prepare monthly financial statements for assigned Companies. This includes analyzing the reports to determine proper application of GAAP. Assist with budget preparation and importing/balancing into financial system. Preparation of sales and use tax returns Preparation of year end audit workpapers and other documents as requested by outside auditors in accordance with specified deadlines. Special projects as required from time to time Backup for Accounting Specialized Qualifications: Financial acumen: analytical ability and strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Solid understanding of accounting principles Strong client focus Interactions with others at all levels in a professional manner Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills Demonstrated consistency in values, principles, and work ethic Proficiency with computer-based accounting application required Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting At least 5 years in a Staff Accountant role Experience with Great Plains is a plus Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word Excellent verbal and written communications skills
