Human Resources Clerk/Recruiter

Knowledge and Experience:
- Minimum of 1-3 years Human Resources experience within a customer facing environment is essential
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous administration experience is desired
- Working knowledge of payroll and HRIS systems
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of FMLA/LOA, Benefits, and Recruiting
- Must have demonstrated the ability to work both as a team member and on own initiative
- Able to organize and complete routine tasks to set standards
- Be able to carry out any other necessary duties as agreed with Management Team.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a labor union environment preferred (1 - 2 years minimum)
- Requires strong communication, writing and customer service skills
- Must have strong organizational skills
- Must be detail oriented
- Being able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
Recruiting
- Assist with recruiting, interviews, and new hire process including all onboarding to include electronic files
- Coordinate new hire process to include onboarding
- Maintain accurate human resources electronic filing
- Coordinate exit interviews
- Assist administration of company leave of absence policies, FMLA, LOA, including disability accommodation under ADA/ADAA and other statutory leave entitlements.
- Maintains records for Leaves in accordance with state and company guidelines
- Assist with internal communications tools to enable process improvement related to increasing engagement and building an inclusive, supportive workplace
- Assist with events and projects associated with organizational culture development
- Coordinate employee appreciation activities
- Create process documentation and work instructions for all tasks performed
- Reviewing policies and procedures for quality assurance.
- Responsible for employee relations such as replying to employees and external customers
- Assists with employee benefit programs consistent with corporate guidelines and informs employee of benefits
- Assist other managers with approved special assignments as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Additional Statements
Drug and alcohol screening: Employment contingent upon passing pre-employment drug and alcohol screen. Also, contingent upon receiving a favorable background check. Must pass a physical examination.
