Coordinates all transplant program activities.Cleveland Clinic's Lung Transplant Program is a leader in lung transplants, both for patient volumes and successful outcomes. Since the program's inception in 1990, we have performed over 1,100 transplants with long-term survival rates above the national average. Cleveland Clinic's ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) program is now the highest-volume program in the U.S. and growing rapidly. The EVLP program allows physicians to evaluate lung's likelihood to function successfully after transplantation, lungs can be treated with techniques and therapeutic agents to improve function and make them transplantable after EVLP and allows assessment and utilization of organs that would otherwise go unused due to logistical factors such as last-minute organ offers.As a Lung Transplant Coordinator I, you will organize all the programs and activities for our transplant patients. In addition, you will provide education on the transplant process to patients and their support members. A Transplant Coordinator is responsible for understanding proper treatments plans for various transplant patients. Your primary duties will include: Evaluating potential transplant candidates. Arranging care during all transplant phases. Monitoring, recording, and communicating patients' conditions as appropriate.Our ideal future caregiver is someone who: Has Transplant, ICU, Pulmonary or related experience or related experience required, ICU or any experience with pulmonary would be helpful, Is familiar with Epic. Is a critical thinker. This position's shifts are 4-10s, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., no weekends, no holidays and no on-call.
