Cleveland Clinic is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Heart and Lung Transplant team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing heart and lung transplants, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, taking into account the patient's medical history, current condition, and treatment goals.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs, medication administration, and other relevant data to ensure accurate and timely documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician, and ensure accurate and timely documentation of medication administration.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, including information on post-operative care, medication management, and follow-up appointments.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- Minimum one year of current acute care RN experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
