This position is located in the Corporate University, Arlington, VA Headquarters of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the development and implementation of training policies and programs of staff.

Duties
- Manages an evaluation process and record keeping program to ensure course and program objectives are met and improvements to the curriculum are made in a timely manner.
- Administers, implements, and evaluates the Corporation's learning and development programs focused on job skills development for employees.
- Provides oversight on course development, training design plan, milestones schedule, and execution of implementation plan.
- Leads the team by identifying goals and objectives, assigning and distributing work tasks, projects, and deadlines, and by monitoring and reporting on the status and progress of work completed.
- Researches, learns, and applies a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.
- Provides advice and recommendations to management on a broad range of issues affecting job skills development and professional continuing education programs in the FDIC.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional qualifications information can be found here.
CG-14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing oversight and direction to team members; evaluating training programs or processes for effectiveness and making recommendations for improvement; and managing projects related to training programs.
Applicants must have met the qualification requirements (including selective placement factors - if any) for this position within 30 calendar days of the closing date of this announcement.

There is no substitution of education for the experience for this position.
Additional information
If selected, you may be required to serve a probationary period.
Selectee(s) for this position will be required to report to their duty station office at least 1 day per pay period beginning January 2, 2024, and at their supervisor's direction to support mission and project needs. In person reporting requirements are expected to increase in July 2024.

- Knowledge of automated systems in order to operate, track, and maintain information and data on training courses and activities.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of training and development in job skills training and its relationship to instructional systems, curriculum development, and course evaluation.
- Knowledge of training procedures, including methods and techniques of instruction.
- Skill in directing, developing, and coordinating the work of others on a team.
- Skill in the development of work processes and systems for accurate and quality work products with operational efficiency.
- Ability to understand changes in the industry, environment, or organization and recommend changes or improvements to existing programs.
