Job Summary:

Meneses Law is seeking a Director of Finance to oversee all financial operations and serve as a member of the Leadership Team. The Director of Finance will be responsible for managing the financial health of the firm by providing strategic and operational direction on financial matters. This role includes overseeing financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and reporting. The Director of Finance will work closely with the firm’s leadership to support decision- making and ensure financial sustainability and growth.

Duties/ Responsibilities: Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the firm’s goals. Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Conduct financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions. Oversee all of accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions. Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Monitor and manage the firms cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability. Develop cash flows projections and manage working capital effectively. Oversee billing and collections processes to optimize cash flow. Identify financial risk and develop mitigations strategies. Ensure appropriate internal controls and financial procedures are in place. Coordinate with external auditors and manage the audit process. Work closely with the firm’s executive team to provide financial insights and recommendations. Support business development initiatives with financial analysis and feasibility studies. Contribute to strategic planning and long-term financial planning. Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Provide mentorship, training, and performance management to finance/ accounting staff. Promote a collaborative and positive work environment within the finance department. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership position. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks, Excel, and other relevant applications. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and effectively. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results oriented.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related fields; MBA or CPA preferred.

Compensation:

Meneses Law believes in Work Life Balance. Operation hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. plus 2 Saturdays a month for certain positions. Being hired by Meneses Law as the Director of Finance means that you will have the opportunity to:

Qualifications/Requirements:

Education/ Experience: A Bachelor’s degree: MBA or CPA preferred, knowledge of MS Office and MacOS. Involves manual dexterity for using keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. May involve moving or lifting items under 10 pounds. Other skills: Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Excellent organizational and time-management. Work Hours: Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm + 2 Saturdays, per month.
