Since 1933 Heath Consultants Incorporated is the leading provider of services and equipment to the natural gas and utility industry. Heath develops and manufactures its equipment in its own world-class facility located in Houston, TX.


Hands-on finance expert that oversees the execution of the financial operation and strategy including planning, managing, analysis, modeling, and reporting to deliver insight and financial understanding throughout the organization. This position works with multiple information systems and requires communication with persons throughout the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and methodologies to align with changes in the business and economic indicators
  • Identify areas of concern where trends suggest risk to the organization and strategize for a solution.
  • Leverage analytics to evaluate the financial impacts of strategic initiatives and business opportunities
  • Partner with Operations and IT to align for data strategy for dashboard reporting
  • Coordinate and lead annual budgeting and forecasting process and track the performance against the financial goals and objectives
  • Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and analysis to Management, Executive Leadership, and Board of Directors
  • Partner and manage monthly P&L meetings with operations personnel to ensure creation and execution of improvement plans
  • Perform ad hoc reports, analysis, and special projects as requested
  • Support the continuous improvement of systems and reporting

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred
  • Demonstrate progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 2 years in a senior management role
  • A professional certification, such as CPA, CFA, CMA, or CGMA, is preferred
  • Ability to independently resolve complex problems where analysis requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors
  • Excellent decision-making skills by selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation of data for obtaining results
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and other financial software and systems
  • Must be detail oriented with big picture vision
  • Epicor and XL Connect experience is a plus


SALARY: $175k+ base salary, plus annual bonus potential, 401k, benefits etc...

This is a HYBRID Position that will require the resource to be in office near Hobby Airport in Houston, TX
