Enterprise Solutions Architect

High school Diploma or GED Certificate.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or Information Technology or related field.
5 years of experience in working with utilities in AMI/MDM/OMS/SCADA systems.
Communications, network, and engineering experience is preferred.
Valid state driver's license (subject to motor vehicle review).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:
Maintains and monitors enterprise system performance using diagnostic and management software. Compile statistics for performance benchmarks.
Communicates issues to business units responsible for troubleshooting devices in the field.
Communicates with service and maintenance entities to determine the cause of system equipment failure and applies repairs and fixes.
Maintains system documentation, procedures and software inventories.
Assist with installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of enterprise systems.
Ensure high availability enterprise utility systems and all functions related to training and knowledge transfer to the teams.
Ensure with IT the stable operation of the NTUA servers and computer systems related to the optimum operation of various utility systems.
Analyzes and resolves work problems. Initiates or suggests plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
Prepares special reports in response to internal and external requests in order to provide accessible data for reliable analysis, management review, research purposes and/or reporting requirements.
Lead planning for organizational change efforts including business process redesign and staffing changes with significant impact on workforce development and succession planning.
Develop and manage Capital & O&M budgets, oversee project vendors including vendor selection, contract development, monitoring of contract deliverables, and managing to defined contractor service level agreements at agreed upon budgets.
Plans, develops, organizes, directs, and implements multi-utility systems, coordinating and dispatching operations for troubleshooting.
Plan and establish work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
Provides technical expertise in sensing, collecting, transmitting and integrating data in enterprise utility systems (AMI/MDM/OMS/SAP/GIS/SCADA/DMS/FLEET).
Provides design and procurement of enterprise utility systems hardware and software as systems develops and mature.
Liaison between and the consulting engineer, manufacture, vendor and NTUA operations for the technical process
of the hardware, software, input devices and associated communication systems.
Oversees and directs the training for personnel in daily use/functionality of all enterprise utility systems.
Recommends the purchases of communications systems upgrades and field input/output instrumentation.
Develops, plans, and implements rural utility service four-year work plan for enterprise utility systems and
communication systems.
Coordinates systems integration requests that include backhaul, error reporting and following through with
repairs and troubleshooting.
Ensures compliance of applicable safety principles, codes, rules, regulations, laws, values and strategies.
Prepares or assists with the preparation of scheduled and/or ad hoc statistical and narrative reports; performs
information gathering and analysis and/or forecasting, as specifically directed.
Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures and audit guidelines.
Must stay current and apply relevant protocols and standards including MultiSpeak, NERC, NIST, etc.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by: conducting research; attending seminars, educational
workshops, classes, and conferences; reviewing professional publications; establishing networks; participating in
professional societies; and conferring with representatives of contracting agencies and related organizations.
