Baer is looking for DevSecOps Network Engineer for a 12-month Federal Project located in Albuquerque, NM.

Title: DevSecOps Network Engineer
Location: Remote with Travel to Albuquerque, NM
Duration: 12 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted)

Description:
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure within Oracle Cloud environments.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and systems from unauthorized access.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.
  • Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system administrators, developers, and security specialists to ensure network requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, procedures, and protocols.
  • Ensure network configurations and operations comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • 3 years of experience as a network administrator, preferably with experience in cloud environments and specifically with Oracle Cloud.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, VLANs, VPNs, and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF).
  • Experience with network security technologies and best practices, including site-site VPN, Fast Connect, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access controls.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking concepts and technologies, particularly within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Experience with Terraform, GitLab, and Ansible.
  • Relevant certifications such as Oracle Certified Associate (OCA) or Professional (OCP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), or equivalent certifications.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
