Position Summary:
- Mobile stands as America's dynamic Un-carrier, providing a cutting-edge 4G LTE and revolutionary nationwide 5G network designed to ensure dependable connectivity for everyone.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with operations and sales teams to diagnose intricate site network issues, analyze data to identify the root causes of equipment failures, and address customer concerns.
- Work alongside RF Engineers to assess and resolve complex challenges, updating databases with solutions or actions taken.
- Formulate processes and strategic methodologies for problem resolution, develop inter- and intra-team workflows for system performance, and act as a KPI subject matter expert to enhance network performance.
- Serve as a leading resource for coverage, capacity, and performance initiatives on GSM/LTE/NR and emerging technologies.
- Establish and refine internal processes for radio network design, contribute to capacity planning and growth strategies, and engage with federal, state, and local authorities to ensure compliance with regulations and zoning.
- Lead the testing and validation of RF feature plan proposals and define implementation guidelines for approved projects.
Skill Requirements:
- Expertise in antenna theory, RF planning tools, capacity forecasting data, and Site Design Process for advanced coverage and capacity planning for macro sites and small cells.
- Proficiency in RAN theory, Ericsson OSS tools, and Radio Network Performance tools to evaluate and address complex GSM/LTE/NR network performance challenges.
- Leadership in the market RF rollout of significant projects focused on network modernization, bandwidth enhancements, new carrier integrations, and the introduction of GSM, UMTS, and LTE macro and DAS sites to support M2M and voice/data services.
- Utilization of knowledge from current 3GPP technical specifications and Ericsson libraries (ELEX) to create expert-level engineering processes and procedures aimed at optimizing RAN KPIs for GSM, UMTS, and LTE.
- Acting as an engineering liaison for sales and customer care teams to understand customer pain points and implement improvements in GSM, UMTS, LTE, and NR radio access networks.
- Conducting root cause analysis by examining call flow messages using tools such as Truecall, TEMS, and Ericsson Expert Analytics.
Experience and Education Requirements:
PRIMARY REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, along with 3 years of relevant work experience.
ALTERNATIVE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, with 5 years of relevant work experience.
