Compliance Specialist | Hybrid | Long-Term Contract | Roanoke, VA

Aston Carter is hiring a Compliance Specialist for a national utility provider in Roanoke, VA

PLEASE NOTE: This is a long-term contract (estimated 12 months) with flexible working hours

About:

The Compliance Specialist is responsible for:

+ Utilizing Excel (VLOOKUPs & Pivot Tables) to record data and generate reports, ensuring accurate and organized records of all compliance activities.

+ Ensuring divisions adhere to company policies by staying up-to-date on compliance related standard practices, reviewing internal procedures, and identifying potential risks and solutions for mitigation.

+ Developing detailed reports and presentations that communicate compliance information to stakeholders at all levels.

+ Collaborating closely with other departments including but not limited to: Construction, Operations, Transmission, Planning, Engineering and Legal to ensure business practices are compliant.

+ Monitoring in-service alerts and communicate with appropriate contacts to ensure that deadlines are met for Submittals.

+ Effectively communicating with team management customers contractors vendors and regulatory agencies.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 2+ years experience within compliance, auditing, or QA/QC

+ Experience within design operations, planning construction, or maintenance of systems and/or equipment

+ Bachelors Degree or Associates Technical Degree

+ Microsoft Excel experience (Pivot Tables & VLOOKUPs)

+ Experience working within the utility industry preferred
