The Vice President – Information Technology aligns the operations of the Information Technology (IT) department with the overall objectives of the organization. The VP-IT will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities of the organization, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily activities of the IT department. The VP-IT will administer the Bank’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), Intranet networks, telephone and Voice over IP (“VoIP”) systems, and all related software programs. This individual deploys information technology architecture strategies to accommodate current and future organizational needs. The IT department will ensure the physical security of employees and property. These specifications are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performance of this position. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform the position in a satisfactory manner. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines. Bachelor’s degree in Information technology or related field; banking experience preferred but not required. 10+ years’ professional experience within IT at progressively increasing levels of responsibility. Extensive experience with PCs, software applications, and other technologies related to financial services. Understanding of Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Windows Server; Microsoft Office Suite. Interpersonal Skills, Problem-Solving Skills, Reliable, Accurate, Timely, Driven, Project-Oriented. Ability to manage time, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment for a variety of customer correspondence. Ensure security of First State Bank IT systems and ensure that employees have access to applications that allows them to perform their necessary job duties. Develop and maintain robust information security program, while ensuring bank compliance with cyber security guidelines. Negotiate and administer IT related vendor, outsourcer and consultant contracts and service agreements through extensive vendor management. Must be proficient with Tandem/Conetrix policy/compliance tool. Act as the Core Processor lead, interacting with core provider as needed. Develop and manage annual IT Audits. Perform regular risk assessments of current and proposed systems and processes. Benchmark, analyze, report on and make recommendations for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure and IT systems. Keep current with the latest technologies in order to ensure the customer of First State Bank are receiving quality customer care. Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives. Generate and manage the bank’s yearly IT budget. Establish good relationship with all departments at First State Bank as well as customers in order to determine their technology needs and develop a plan to satisfy those needs. Project management of complex corporate initiatives. Review and update all IT policies and procedures as well as perform regular training to the Board of Directors regarding IT policies, procedures and safeguards in order to ensure understanding of how they impact First State Bank. Chair the following committees: IT, Business Continuity Planning, and Security. Provide company-wide training on new and existing technology and IT systems. Regular IT help desk monitoring and support. Develop a strategic plan for IT functions. Maintain business continuity and disaster recovery plans for all technology. Collaborate with IT staff and consultants to ensure installation, maintenance and effective trouble shooting of any information service that the Bank is using. Identify symptoms causing performance deficiencies and initiate research and resolution with IT department resources as needed. Identify, research, and resolve operational/functional problems for assigned systems. Escalate unresolved issues and/or seek support from internal IT resources and/or third-party vendors. Analyze quality and effectiveness of computer operations according to defined service standards.
